Contract Manager Assistant, Europe

Job summary

The Contract Manager Assistant will assist the Contract Department Manager directly providing general administrative and contracts support, liaising as required with both internal and external stakeholders in the execution and document management of client and vendor contracts, including the review, migration, and cleanup of contractual data.

We are searching for a dynamic, ambitious and energetic person, able to undertake challenges in developing the Contracts Department. The desired person shall be open to cross cultures communication and cooperation, proactive and with a vision for contracting processes development in a CRO.

Main Tasks of the Position

  • Assist and support develop and managing of contracts, and other related processes for mid to large complex contracts, e.g., MSA, PSA/WO, etc
  • Assist manage project requirements, identify discrepancies, and interact with Contract Manager and Project Team to resolve issues
  • Support Contract Manager with the planning of contract timelines to ensure they are met
  • Generate reports on a scheduled or as required
  • Develop in depth understanding of and be compliant to all processes and policies relating to the development of contracts and proposals
  • Perform research on various matters, when needed
  • Act as internal project team interface, responsible for ensuring project teams are supported during the contract negotiation and finalization stage
  • May participate in customer meetings and on task forces as required
  • Provide advice, support and guidance as needed to the project team members
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications, Experience, Competencies

  •  Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Business and/or Health Care related field
  • 1+ year related experience or other relevant experience; equivalent combination of education and experience considered
  • Proficiency in the English language a must. Additional languages a plus (e.g., German, Polish, French, Spanish, or others)
  • Knowledge of CRO Industry
  • Strong administrative skills with a high level of accuracy
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and understanding of costing models
  • Excellent knowledge of contract processes and ability to interpret budgets and protocols
  • Proactive individual with the ability to adapt to change
  • Good planner, with the ability to meet deadlines
